Well, I've made some progress. 589 words on the short story I had to abandon just before the birth of the Little Man. No, that's not a tremendous amount, but it satisfies my daily minimum, which I hadn't actually hit yet this year, because today was the first day I sat my butt down to write. I'm keeping the goal low for now, so that I don't push it. Maybe after a week, I can up it back to something decent. On the other hand, I was able to jot down some ideas on where to take the story, which is just as much why it sat unfinished as anything else. But now that I have the semblance of the plot in place, perhaps I can finish it up, and have this be the first complete story of the year.

Yeah, I started on it last year, but whatever. I'm looking to build momentum, not wax pedantic.
