I need to change something up. I'm not making the kind of headway I should be making. I'm letting way too much distract me at the moment. Until I determine how to channel out the distractions via other methods, I'm going to switch some things up. Primarily, I'm going to try to switch over to longhand for my next first draft. That's going to be a challenge, for several reasons.
1) My handwriting sucks. I mean, there are times when even I have no clue what I intended to write.
2) I write slowly. Much slower than I type. Worse, if I want it to be even nominally legible as mentioned in the above point, I have to slow it down further.
3) Writing will cramp up my hand and wrist much faster and worse than typing does. Joy.
I don't expect this will be a permanent change. But if I don't change something up, I'll end up with a large bruise on my forehead from where I keep banging it on my desk.
