Today when I got home, there was a letter in my mailbox from one of those reunion companies.  It's my invite to my 20 year high school reuinion.   This isn't a shock.  I'd been wondering when the details would arrive, since the bits I'd eeked out from random web searches was that it would be in November.  And as much as it would be cliche to say "wow, where has the time gone?" or something to indicate just how short it feels since I was a member of the Bergenfield High School Class of 1988, um...no.   Actually, it feels like a lifetime has gone by.  Or two.  And I'm okay with that really, because in fact, it has been more than a lifetime.  Consider that I graduated at 17, and am now (well shortly to be) 38, and that 20 years is longer to have been out of school, than my entire lifespan at the time graduated.

So, feeling like I've had a whole other life seems just about right.  I'm looking forward to it, since I haven't seen many folks since the 10 year reunion, and that had fairly low attendence.  There's probably many, many more that I haven't seen since the day I graduated.  I hope this one is better attended than last.  I suspect that there will be more interest this time around, just because it has been so long.   I've noticed a rather large uptick within the past few months of classmates of mine showing up on Facebook and MySpace.   Not a few months back,  only a handful of us were on each network.  Now, there's a good 30+ on each, and that's not counting the folks who might be there and haven't filled out their education information.  (Or at least high school ones.)   I've also noticed an uptick in the registrations on various alumni sites.  That gives me a good feeling, that perhaps I'm not the only one looking forward to looking back and catching up.

Should anyone from BHS Class of '88 find their way here, and hasn't gotten the details yet about the reunion send me a note, and I'll get you the info.

Ah, yes. No one has ever seemed to be on fire to track me down for those things, despite the fact that I have a cousin who graduated in the same year and still lives in the area.

Doesn't seem to be a very web-conscious bunch. On Facebook, there's me and one other guy, and the school's name was improperly punctuated. I created a new listing with correct punctuation.
